The EP-Team of the Permanent Representation reports from the plenary and committee meetings of the European Parliament (EP) and maintains good relationships with the parliamentarians, parliamentary groups, political parties and General Secretariat of the European Parliament. In addition, it helps to coordinate visits of representatives of the German government to the EP as well as EP representatives to the German government. It is also contact point for all questions with regard to the relations of Bundestag, Bundesrat and the Bundesländer to the EP. Within the Permanent representation, the EP-Team supports the other working units in their relations to the EP.

The EP-Team also keeps contact with the Committee of the Regions (CoR). The CoR is an EU advisory body composed of locally and regionally elected representatives coming from all 27 Member States. CoR gives regions and cities a formal say in EU law-making ensuring that the position and needs of regional and local authorities are respected.

Head of the EP-Team: Florian Leuthner
